Asset Finance UK

There are various good reasons to use capital to fund capital investment.

Principally; if you use your cash reserves, you reduce your liquidity and restrict other investment opportunities. Instead it's possible to use other sources of finance; such as asset finance.

Asset finance is arranging credit or leasing facilities to assist your acquisition of business assets. It's a relatively straightforward facility to arrange.

The security is primarily taken on the asset in question and is usually a "stand-alone" arrangement that leaves other lines of credit intact for working capital.

The cost can be spread over a period up to the useful life of the asset.

Assets that can be funded in this way are usually of a tangible nature with a readily available resale market. Assets with a slow resale market or high degrees of specialisation are probably better funded by other means. (See below).

Typical assets that might be suitable

Light & Heavy Commercial Vehicles
Cars
Unspecialised Machinery
Plant
IT Hardware

Typical assets that are unsuitable

Buildings
Land
Redevelopment
IT Software
Research / Project Work
